How To Set Slide Show Automatically

Easily Create a Cocky-Running PowerPoint Slide Show

Setting upward a self-running presentation

  1. Click the Slide Prove tab in the Ribbon and so click Fix Slide Evidence. A dialog box appears.
  2. Nether Show blazon, select Browsed past an individual (window).
  3. Click OK.

To set upward a presentation to run automatically, but those watching the slide show practise NOT take control over when slides accelerate and the presentation repeats until the people watching press Escape (ESC):

  1. Click the Slide Show tab in the Ribbon and then click Fix Slide Show. A dialog box appears.
  2. Under Show blazon, select Browsed at kiosk (total screen).
  3. Click OK.

Setting slide timings manually

You tin choose to rehearse slide timings or you can manually set the slide timings for your PowerPoint slides using the Transitions tab in the Ribbon.

To set slide timings manually:

  1. Click the View tab in the Ribbon and then click Slide Sorter.

  • Pause
  • Slide time
  • Echo

Click the buttons in the Rehearsal toolbar to perform the following actions:

  • Click Next to advance to the next slide.
  • To temporarily stop recording the time, click Break.
  • To restart recording the time after pausing, click Suspension.
  • To set up an verbal length of time for a slide to appear, type the length of time in the Slide Fourth dimension box.
  • To restart recording the time for the current slide, click Echo.

To rehearse timings:

  1. Click the Slide Evidence tab in the Ribbon and then click Rehearse Timings. The Rehearsal toolbar appears and the timer begins immediately. The presentation appears in full screen recording style.
  2. Click the desired buttons. Click Next to advance to the adjacent slide or press the right pointer on your keyboard. To temporarily end recording the time, click Pause. To restart recording the time later pausing, click Pause. To set an exact length of time for a slide to announced, type the length of time in the Slide Time box. To restart recording the time for the current slide, click Repeat.
  3. Continue clicking on the advisable buttons until you lot are satisfied with the timings. The total presentation time appears on the elevation right of the Rehearsal toolbar.
  4. After you set the time for the terminal slide, a dialog box displays the total time for the presentation and another dialog box appears.
  5. To go along the recorded slide timings, click Yes. To discard the recorded slide timings, click No.

The presentation appears. If you view the presentation in Slide Sorter View, the slide timing is displayed beneath each slide.

Recording a slide show with timings

Instead of using the Rehearse Timings button, you can record timings (and narrations or voice over) equally y'all record a show. The Record Slide Show button appears on the Slide Show tab in the Ribbon. When you record a slide show, you can start from the beginning or the current slide:

  4. Click Start Recording. The Rehearsal toolbar appears and the timer begins immediately. The presentation appears in total screen recording manner.
  5. If you want to record timings, click the desired buttons. Click Adjacent to accelerate to the next slide or press the correct arrow on your keyboard. To temporarily end recording the fourth dimension, click Intermission. To restart recording the time afterwards pausing, click Interruption. To set an exact length of fourth dimension for a slide to appear, type the length of fourth dimension in the Slide Time box. To restart recording the fourth dimension for the electric current slide, click Repeat.
  6. Keep clicking on the appropriate buttons until you are satisfied with the timings. The total presentation time appears on the top right of the Rehearsal toolbar.
  7. After you lot gear up the time for the last slide, a dialog box displays the full time for the presentation and some other dialog box appears.
  8. To proceed the recorded slide timings, click Yes. To discard the recorded slide timings, click No.
  9. To end your recording at any time, right-click on a slide and select End Show from the card.

The presentation appears. In Slide Sorter view, the slide timing is displayed below each slide.

Recording narrations or voice over

In addition to timings, you may want to add narrations or vocalization over. You tin record narrations before you run a presentation or y'all can record narrations during a presentation and include audience comments. When you add narrations, PowerPoint automatically records your slide timings. Alternatively, you can set the slide timings offset. Be sure to exam the microphone get-go.   7. To finish your slide show recording at any rime, correct-click on the slide and then select Cease Show.

The recorded slide show timings and narrations are saved. If you view the presentation in Slide Sorter view, timings appear beneath each slide. A sound icon also appears in the lower-correct corner of each slide that has narration.

If y'all re-record your narration (including audio, ink, and laser arrow), PowerPoint erases your previously recorded narration (including audio, ink, and laser pointer) when y'all commencement recording over again on the same slide.

To utilise ink, eraser, or the laser pointer during your recording, right-click on the slide, select Pointer options and choose the light amplification by stimulated emission of radiation pointer, pen, highlighter or eraser. To clear timings or narrations:

  1. On the Slide Bear witness tab, click the arrow below Record Slide Show. A bill of fare appears.
